Jonas and Giver come up with a plan to escape from the community meanwhile when he leaves the memories will stay and the people will get the memories and be able to have feeling and not live a life of sameness.
      The only thing is the Giver can't leave with Jonas he must stay because if he doesn't the people will suffer from the memories and won't be able to live through it and would most likely apply for release.
I have been in the same situation as Jonas where I had to give up something to get to something greater, me and my friends always played 78 precinct basketball together but when I made the travel team I started playing there and didn't go back to 78 in house because it wasn't much of a challenge but the travel league was and I liked playing in it a lot more. It improved my basketball skills and teamwork skills . Sometimes it is better to move on from something your familiar with, just to increase your social skills and explore new oppurtunities.

       Jonas is receiving the memories from the giver, he doesn't realize how much pain he is going to be in. But I feel like Jonas is different than the Giver. He's not as loyal and doesn't realize how much trouble he will be in if he tells people but yet he still tries to hint people in on his training. For example he was walking home from training with Asher and he tried to explain to him the color red because everything is sameness after laws were changed on earth. The sun was removed and along with different races, now everything is the same but the Receiver has the power to see the differences, see the color and he has all of the memories from when the world did have color and the sun and different races. Receiving all of the painful and hurtful memories will be a challenge Jonas must overcome but also keeping his mouth shut about his training because if he doesn't he may be banished from the community for ever.

          I can kind of relate to Jonas because he is training and is being taught by his teacher which in my case would be like practicing basketball and my coach would be my teacher because he pushes me and makes me overcome challenging obstacles which makes me become a better basketball player and Jonas has to over come the painful memories to become the Receiver.

In the giver there is really only one perspective and that is Jonas'es and he kind of unfolds the story with us the readers and it feels like were with him when he keeps discovering more and more about this society and the secrets and what is really going on. but the main person who's perspective is missing would probably be the person in control of the society because no one knows what he's thinking and no one even knows about him yet none of his ideas are being showed in the text so i think the book is a guessing game of what's really gonna happen in the end just because it doesn't show any real feelings they feel like there all fake and nothing is real it is just a world of other people bossing you around and thinking for you. 

             I feel the same way when I'm in school or at a camp because you can't think like oh i'm going to play basketball in 10 minutes or I'm going to eat in 10 minutes they choose it for you so i do know what Jonas'es world feels like, i have a feeling of what it is.

the author of the giver is making  the community very boxed in and isolated and concealed from everything else. the community is supposed to be a perfect envirement but to me it doesnt seem like that at all because rules create problems, and no rules create problems so either way there community cant be perfect, nothing can. this community just sounds harsh and cruel very unorthidox to run a society because people are assigned children, jobs, and partners which is just having your life chosen for you and is in no way perfection. in my eye perfection would be straight 90s and up in school, going to the best college, having a job that you love to do and having a beautiful family that you will always lave and care for. not to be bossed around and living in a world where mistakes are unacceptable. making mistakes is part of life itself.

THE GIVER

I began reading the giver, it is a very complex book with a lot of meaning under the words. It is one of those settings that give you the feeling that this little boxed in town is actually something more then just a perfect society. That behind the perfection and robot like citizens there is problems and issues so even though it looks as if it is perfection, it is not. I think Jonas is a special boy and does not share the same feeling as others, as if he is different from everyone, the way his mind works and he thinks. Even though i am only a few chapters in, the main idea the author is trying to make is that perfection is only a thought with in your mind it can never actually happen because the way your brain works your always going to do something that looks imperfect. Something i don't understand is why they call the birthdays ceremony's, and why do they have to be in the same classes all of there childhood that must almost make them nuts having to be with the same people every single day for 18 years of your life.

      I am reading "Mexican White Boy." From what I have read, the conflict seems to be that, his parents (mom white, father Mexican) come from such different backgrounds and ethnicity that they just didn't want to live together so his dad took off and it really set Danny back and hurt him. This summer he's going to live with his Mexican family by the border, which will change his life. He plays baseball, pitches a 94 mile an hour fast ball but nobody really believes in him or expects much from the brown messed up kid. His mom always finds herself to be depressed and sometimes he hurts himself to see that he's still a real person. His mom is dating a white buisness man and he and sister Julia are not happy at all about that and they don't really like him just because they love their mom and they feel like she's theirs, not some random guy's.
      I find this book to be a little racist in the sense that the mom says "I will never be getting involved with another Mexican man again only white" when diverse couples are common in America nowadays. Also, when Danny goes to visit his family, all of them get in trouble, arrested or they are in gangs, when Danny is a straight A student and doesn't get in trouble. So I think the author's view on Mexicans compared to whites is racist, but maybe he's just trying to make the main idea of the book that biracial kids and couples are fine, and if you love someone, it shouldn't matter about their skin tone, it should matter about the things that are important like personalities.
    My cousin had an African American father and a white mom. She has friends of all different racial backgrounds, so it really doesn't matter what your skin color is, and a lot of people in this world are quick to judge people of color but it's wrong to criticize another human being based on skin tone when skin tone doesn't mean anything. Your personality should decide how a person feels about you. As the great Martin Luther King said, "I hope that one day my children will be judged by the content of their character not the color of their skin."

freak the mighty summary and thoughts of last few chapters

Max hates his dad and i think he should be entitled to thinking that because, he is a murderer and criminal but i think if people are scared killer kane is coming for max, it doesn't necasserally mean he wants to hurt max but everyone is inferring that it does. Why does everyone alwayx act so mischivious when they speak about "him" everyone knows its not a secret, i think in a way it may single max out and make him feel like he did something wrong even though he didn't it was his dad.
